Dunbar Street Art Trail is back on Saturday the 20th of August 2016. Featuring an artistic trail through the heart of Dunbar, Scotland's sunniest and most vibrant town. Be inspired by a unique blend of local, National and International artists against a backdrop of a fully listed historical high street. Wander along the main street discovering the myriad of shops, cafes and services whilst browsing the artistic talents of a diverse group of artists. The trail ends at the interactive area which will give you and your family the opportunity to test your artistic skills and reveal your inner rainbow in a range of ways from, painting, pavement chalking, caricaturists, face painters, glitter tattoos, Graffiti, poetry, music, and more.
The entire day and all activities will be free to enjoy, giving you more money to spend in the local shops and cafes.

This is your chance to see two of Scotland's leading graffiti artists plying their trade. Creating two live murals watch and get inspired before giving it a try yourself.
Zak & Cammy Interactive Graffiti
Two of Dunbars own budding graffiti artists will be on hand to help you try out one of the purpose built graffiti walls. Whether it's tagging, stencilling or freehand you can try it out with the expert guidance of two graffiti artists

With a world class back catalogue of famous designs this is a must see and exclusive opportunity for you to enter into a world famous social enterprise.
Giant Kite Display
Summertime in Dunbar is a time for giant tigers and mantarays flying in the sky visible for miles around. Andrew Beattie from Tug.com brings his collection to winterfield park to showcase these giant kites in a picturesque surroundings, you can't miss these kites when they are up in the air and you can pop along to have a shot of his easy to fly stunt kites.
The Ridge - Backlands Market
All are welcome to our first open community events at the Backland's site in Dunbar. The team have been working hard on the garden and it is a transformed space from how we found it last year.
The first event is on the 20th August and is a celebration of food producers, makers and sellers in and around Dunbar. We are tying in with the Dunbar Art Trail on that day and artists work will be exhibited on site.
We are continuing to work in an open and positive way trying to bring energy and focus to the opportunities that this amazing site and space offers to the town and to the Ridge as it moves forward. There will also be a mix of lively workshops held on the day at the Backland's hosted by North Light Arts. Come along and enjoy the day with us and try some amazing local produce at our community food table!
Psychic medium and artist with a tendency to stop and look at clouds and rocks. He also reads palms and loves working with liquid gloss paint and creating something out of nothing. Preferably artistic, but not always.
2 times art graduate and studio assistant to artist, David Mach RA. A lover of geology, geometry and conceptual art currently working with figurative embroidery and creating transient public artworks from natural materials.
Dunbar born and bred, graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone with a Post-Grad Commendation in Sculpture and, another, courtesy of Rotary International, in Cape Town. 1st Artist-in-Residence at St Andrew's University . Fired by those who are fired/inspired plus the natural wonders of our locale. Currently working with upcycled 45rpm/33rpm vinyl records changing function to figurative form and mixed media collages.
